To My Parents With Love

February 4th 2008
. . .Marriage is the foundry for social order, the fountain of virtue, and the foundation for eternal exaltation. Marriage has been divinely designated as an eternal and everlasting covenant. Marriage is sanctified when it is cherished and honored in holiness. That union is not merely between husband and wife; it embraces a partnership with God. “Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other.” Children born of that marital union are “an heritage of the Lord.”Marriage is but the beginning bud of family life; parenthood is its flower. And that bouquet becomes even more beautiful when graced with grandchildren. Families may become as eternal as the kingdom of God itself. . . .
Russell M. Nelson May 2006

Today my parents have been married for 19 years! Wow! So today I have a small tribute. . .

Mom and Dad,
I want you to know that I know how much you both love each other and I thank you for showing me the love that you share. I have learned so much from you both and I am so grateful you guys. It because of you that your kids are great and have married in the temple. It because of you that we knew the kind of spouse we wanted to spend eternity with. It's because of you that we know to have patience and charity for one another. Thank you. I love you both so much and congrats on another year of true long.

Things You Have Taught Me.
1. Be Kind to Your Spouse

3. Create Memories with Your Family No Matter What the Cost

9. Work Hard Play Hard
10. Set Aside Dedicated Time with Your Loved One
